As the devastation of Australia’s bushfire continues, the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan have joined forces with Dimitries Jewellers and Dak & Co as well as other Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounding region businesses to raise awareness for those who have been deeply affected by the current crisis.
Held on Friday the 14th of February, the Bushfire Relief Gala is organised in support of and to raise funds for volunteer organisations, BlazeAid and Braidwood Life Centre, with the aim to raise over $50,000.
BlazeAid works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. Working alongside the rural families, the volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed.
Braidwood Life Centre (BLC) is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation within the Braidwood community and surrounds that has been has been running for 8 years helping those in need. BLC have created a bushfire relief fund to help alleviate burdens of those affected by the bush fires.
100% of proceeds from ticket sales and auction items will be donated to BlazeAid and Braidwood Life Centre.
