Braidwood Garlic Growers Co-op are organising the 2020 Garlic Dinner for discerning garlic lovers in the region – an exciting opportunity for the community to celebrate the Garlic Harvest amidst the challenging recent months.
Acknowledging and celebrating the fantastic local garlic industry, the dinner will showcase local garlic in its many forms and varieties. Braidwood garlic is known for the unique soils and climate it grows in, particularly suited to growing excellent garlic. The varieties of garlic grown in the region are particularly pungent, with each variety boasting a specific flavour and recommended for specific culinary purposes: some are particularly good for summer fare; others are particularly good for winter slow cooking.
