The streets of Braidwood, Bungendore and Captains Flat recently transformed for the holiday season as community members and organisations took part in QPRC’s Placemaking team’s community placemaking project that saw outdoor Christmas decorations sprinkled across the villages.
The Christmas decorations in Braidwood were made by participants from Braidwood Central School, St Bedes Primary, Home Schooling Group, Braidwood Pre-School and Purple House Early Learning Centre.
In Bungendore, the work was done by the Bungendore Primary School, Anglican Church, Bungendore Pre-School and Milestones Early Learning Centre.
Meanwhile in Captains Flat, the Primary School and Pre-School brought the village’s decoration project to life.
Now, clusters of brightly decorated plywood Christmas trees, stars and baubles sprinkle some festive season atmosphere throughout the villages during a challenging time for the three towns. To support the locals and their businesses in their struggle through the ongoing drought and bushfires, remember to shop local this Christmas.
